The Protection Cluster conducts continuous analysis of the protection environment through regular Protection Analysis Updates. These updates identify the main protection risks, the population groups most affected and the geographic areas of concern. In addition, the Global Protection Update provides an overview of key global protection trends and emerging risks across crises.

The analysis provides an evidence base for programming, advocacy, and dialogue aimed at influencing policies and practices in support of a safer and more enabling protection environment.
