In mid-2025, the Regional Protection Working Group for West and Central Africa (RPWG-WCA) issued an advocacy note documenting the alarming impact of humanitarian funding reductions on protection programming across West and Central Africa. This snapshot provides an update as of June 2026, drawing on a Global Protection Cluster (GPC)-led survey of 258 partner organisations in the region, complemented by operational reporting from national and international NGOs and UN agencies.
