Global Database on IDP Law and Policy

The Issue

The Global Database on Laws and Policies on Internal Displacement (the Database) records IDP-specific and IDP-inclusive instruments. IDP-specific instruments refer to the instruments adopted by a state to address internal displacement in particular; IDP-inclusive instruments refer to any instruments adopted by a state that include internally displaced persons, but whose main objective is not to address internal displacement.

As of July 2022, the Database contains 28 laws, 22 policies and 62 strategies and action plans specifically addressing internal displacement.
