The Methodology for Calculating Protection Severity and Estimating People in Need (PIN) Guidance provides the information management steps, tools and technical instructions for the protection calculations to contribute to the Humanitarian Needs Overview, agreed between the GPC and the Global AoRs. It includes the general process, in line with the joined-up protection analysis guidance, and the step-by-step guide to use the standard tools.
