Summary Note - HNPW Event: ‘Protection Advocacy as First-Line Response’
On 24 March 2025, the Global Protection Cluster (GPC) and Oxfam held the session "Protection Advocacy as First-Line Response" during HNPW 2025 in Geneva. The Consortium of Ethiopian Human Rights Organizations, the Palestinian NGO Women’s Center for Legal Aid and Counselling, the Sudan Organization for Local Development, and the Protection Cluster in Sudan shared their expertise and thoughts on the vital role of advocacy in humanitarian responses, especially as part of first-line action in conflict-affected contexts such as Sudan, the occupied Palestinian territories (oPt), and Ethiopia.
