Through our country support unit, we provide day-to-day operational support to country Protection Clusters and partners. To this end, we particularly welcome partner initiatives, including hands-on support, technical expertise, learning and development initiatives, sharing of promising practices, and other collaboration opportunities to reach protection outcomes

The Protection Series is a public, protection practitioner-driven learning initiative designed to strengthen protection practice across the humanitarian system. Since 2026, protection partners across the globe are invited to join webinars led by GPC partners showcasing practical tools, guidance, lessons learnt, good practices and research that aim to improve protection outcomes in humanitarian action. The GPC operates time-bound working groups and task teams to support the implementation of its annual workplans and priorities identified across country support, information management and analysis and advocacy. These bodies are established and operate as small groups of partners proactively engaged and contributing to specific deliverables and/or thematic priorities of the GPC.

In line with the consolidation of the Protection Cluster and the former Areas of Responsibility for Child Protection, Gender-Based Violence and Mine Action, the GPC works as one integrated team. In addition to the annual Global Protection Forum and the GPC Protection Series, the GPC organizes and contributes to various events throughout the year
