OCHA Aide Memoire on Protection of Civilians

The Aide Memoire provides both an overview of the Security Council’s practice and a basis for the Security Council to further build upon and enhance its actions to protect civilians on the ground. Through a more consistent and comprehensive approach to the protection of civilians, I hope that Member States will make systematic use of the aide memoire particularly in situations on the agenda of the informal Expert Group on the protection of civilians
