Protection Risks Severity Criteria

The Protection Risk Severity Criteria has been developed by the GPC to guide the joined-up prioritization of protection risks. The tool provides a general set of severity criteria for each phase, and a detailed set of severity criteria for each of the 15 protection risks. The criteria do not provide specific metrics to calculate severity but are meant to guide the convergence of evidence at country level. It provides a suggestion of 5 variables that can be further expanded and use to develop country-specific metrics. The severity criteria are revised on yearly basis by the GPC (including the thematic leads for Child Protection, Gender-Based Violence and Mine Action)
