GPC, IASC MHPSS RG, Global MSP Team
The Global Protection Cluster is pleased to invite you to the tenth session of the GPC 2026 Protection Series. The Protection Series is a public, protection practitioner-driven learning initiative designed to strengthen protection practice across the humanitarian system.
Throughout 2026, protection partners across the globe will be invited to join webinars that are provided by protection actors showcasing tools, guidance and research that aim to improve protection outcomes in humanitarian action. This series will remind us of existing resources, best practices and bring emerging approaches and evolving protection issues to the attention of the wider protection network.
The MHPSS Minimum Service Package was developed by WHO and UNICEF, in collaboration with UNHCR, UNFPA, and the IASC Reference Group for Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Emergency Settings (IASC MHPSS RG). It was published in 2022, to support organisations to meet the most urgent needs for people in humanitarian crisis. The MHPSS MSP outlines a set of activities that are considered to be of the highest priority in meeting the immediate critical needs of emergency-affected populations, based on existing guidelines, available evidence and expert consensus. Each activity comes with checklists of core and additional actions. You can find the MHPSS Minimum Service Package here
During this session, you will learn more about the MHPSS Minimum Service Package, how to use it and you will meet some of the global team that support its implementation.
The event will take place virtually on Wednesday 18 November, 15:00 – 16:30 pm Geneva time.
This event is public and open to all.
